What You Will Do:

  • Perform basic dimensional inspections and read work orders, customer specifications, and inspection sheets.
  • Utilize inspection tools including tape measures, micrometers, hardness testers, and calipers.
  • Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes, including inspection of equipment, slings, and completion of required records.
  • Follow proper stacking methods and maintain accurate material traceability.
  • Operate equipment efficiently while maintaining acceptable part quality per internal and customer specifications.
  • Follow work orders and pick lists to ensure proper packing and shipping of customer materials.
  • Prepare shipping paperwork and required documentation.
  • Locate, identify, and pack outbound materials through banding, boxing, palletizing, and other shipping methods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Generate barcodes and properly affix them to materials while maintaining accurate inventory locations within company systems.
  • Assist Material Handlers and Furnace Personnel with unloading trucks as required.
  • Scan work orders and load production information into handheld computers and production systems.
  • Participate and become actively engaged in the Company Traction & L10 Process.
