Our company is looking for highly dependable team players to join our staff as (food) Material Handler / Stock Associate in our food processing plant. Material Handlers / Stock Associates are responsible for getting the necessary ingredients to the production lines in a timely manner, as well as then removing the produced product into the staging, sorting, or storage areas. They also monitor the cooler and freezers during the storage and preparation processes to make sure our product quality standards are being met. Material Handler / Stock Associate

Full Time: 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday; Rotating Sundays 6:30am - 2pm

Job Overview: The Material Handler / Stock Associate is responsible for making sure the production lines have the necessary ingredients at their finger tips at the time they are needed for production. They are responsible for moving ingredients into the production area, and transferring the finished product from the production area to the predetermined storage, staging, or sorting area. They work closely with the production team members, including the supervisors and managers of production, although they report to the Supply Chain Manager directly. They are in and out of a refrigerated environment for their entire shift.

Job Duties:

  • Organizes the flow of dry storage and food items
  • Maintains integrity of cooler and freezer (FIFO)
  • Anticipate the needs of the Production Department based on production schedule
  • Relocates finished product into predetermined areas
  • Removes debris and waste from production environment (empty boxes, etc.)
  • Reliably and accurately supply the production staff with the necessary ingredients / food items
  • Accurately records information such as lot numbers
  • Follows direction of supervisor and manager, while working effectively on their own

Minimum Qualifications

  • Read, write and speak English
  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Reliable transportation to fulfill scheduled shifts
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous stocking experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift over 50 pounds : 75%
  • Can stand, bend and lift objects with regularity: 100%
  • Can work in variable temperatures for extended periods: 100%
