Donor Engagement and Stewardship Manager

Job Description

Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Donor Engagement and Stewardship Manager to join the Foundation team. This role will be Full-time Monday - Friday working Hybrid (on-site weekly).

Job Responsibilities
  • Project manages, edits, and drafts targeted impactful written content, including proposals, newsletters, presentations, talking points, updates, and endowment reports that demonstrate the impact of philanthropic investments.
  • Project manages, researches, and produces narrative impact reports for principal/major-gift donors for service lines across Inova Health System and other key donor stewardship communications.
  • Partners with diverse constituent groups-including major gift officers, executives and clinical leaders, program liaisons, grateful patients and program participants to execute assigned projects and support fundraising goals.
  • Manages external vendors including writers, designers, print and digital communications partners.
  • Creates digital content and help to develop strategies for web and social media platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.
  • Manages and activates Inova's storytelling assets, such as the Story Bank
  • Builds productive relationships, collaborating and advising donor and prospect relationship managers and other key staff to further personalize stewardship communications and activities.
  • Leverages data to inform projects and utilizing CRM database to track interactions with donors and retain information on named funds.
  • Develops and implement protocols to maintain and improve existing donor engagement efforts.
  • Supports communications elements for donor-facing events.
  • Supports additional projects and duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree; or 4 years of additional relevant experience.
  • Experience: 6 years of experience in content development, communications, or fundraising roles.
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong philanthropy knowledge base; experience and proficiency with writing donor stewardship materials; has been in a non-profit philanthropy role; philanthropy/foundation marketing skills
