Job description

Company Overview
NDM is a family-owned hospitality business that began in Food & Beverage and is now expanding into vacation rentals and resort experiences. We are building a new sector in hospitality by creating identifiable brands with consistent accommodations, services, and amenities within the vacation rental and outdoor resort space.
Our properties combine the comfort of cottages and RV camping with the energy of resort-style food and beverage pavilions, tiki bars, and communal guest spaces. Every detail matters-from the kitchen to the pool deck to the outdoor gathering areas.
Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Entry-Level Executive Steward (Dishwasher / Resort Cleaner) to join our team. This role supports the cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation of all back-of-house and guest-facing operational spaces across the resort.
This is a growth-focused position designed to develop future stewarding leaders. You will gain experience in kitchen sanitation, outdoor facility upkeep, and resort-wide cleaning standards, including pressure washing and maintenance of high-traffic guest areas.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Kitchen & Food and Beverage Stewarding
  • Maintain cleanliness of all food and beverage preparation and service areas, including pavilions and tiki bars.
  • Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
  • Clean and maintain dish machines, sinks, prep stations, and storage areas.
  • Ensure all food service areas meet health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Resort-Wide Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Clean and maintain outdoor spaces including patios, decks, walkways, and seating areas.
  • Perform pressure washing of hard surfaces such as:
    • Pavilion floors and concrete pads
    • Tiki bar areas and surrounding decks
    • Outdoor dining areas and guest gathering spaces
    • Building exteriors, walls, and high-traffic surfaces
  • Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors in all resort buildings and facilities.
  • Remove trash, recycling, and debris from all areas of the property, including guest spaces and service zones.
  • Clean restrooms, showers, and shared guest facilities as required.
Outdoor Resort Operations
  • Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic, outdoor environments including poolside tiki bars and open-air pavilions.
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning of event spaces, dining areas, and guest amenities.
  • Support the upkeep of RV camping areas, cottage surroundings, and common spaces.
  • Work in all weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and outdoor exposure.
Equipment & Supply Handling
  • Load and unload deliveries of food, beverages, and operational supplies.
  • Organize and store cleaning chemicals, tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
  • Ensure proper use and care of pressure washers, cleaning tools, and sanitation equipment.
  • Maintain readiness of all cleaning stations and supply areas.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company, brand, and statutory health and safety standards.
  • Properly handle cleaning chemicals and operate equipment safely.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or cleanliness concerns immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with resort cleanliness expectations and guest presentation standards.
Entry-Level Executive Steward Development Path
This role provides foundational experience for advancement into:
  • Resort Steward
  • Lead Steward (Pavilions / Tiki Bars / Kitchen Operations)
  • Executive Steward (property-wide oversight)
  • Facilities or Back-of-House Operations leadership

You will learn:
  • Resort sanitation systems and cleaning schedules
  • Pressure washing and exterior maintenance techniques
  • Back-of-house workflow across multiple outlets
  • Inventory and supply organization
  • Standards for guest-facing cleanliness in outdoor hospitality environments
Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience in dishwashing, cleaning, facilities, or F&B support preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments year-round (heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure).
  • Must be flexible with nights, weekends, and holidays (365 days a year).
  • Physical ability to:
    • Lift up to 60 lbs
    • Stand for long periods
    • Perform repetitive cleaning tasks
    • Operate pressure washing equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, guest-focused resort environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
Company Benefits
  • Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • Discounted hotel and resort stays
  • Discounts in food and beverage outlets
  • Development and advancement opportunities
  • "Win from within" culture focused on internal promotion
  • And many more perks!
Why This Role Is Unique
Unlike a traditional dishwasher position, this role covers full resort stewarding responsibilities, including:
  • Kitchen sanitation AND outdoor resort cleanliness
  • Guest-facing areas like pavilions, tiki bars, and communal spaces
  • Heavy-duty cleaning such as pressure washing and exterior maintenance
  • Exposure to both hospitality operations and facilities-style upkeep

This is an excellent entry point for someone who wants to grow into a leadership role overseeing cleanliness and operational standards across a resort property.
Equal Opportunity Statement
NDM Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all team members can grow and succeed.
