Job description

Primary Responsibilities Perform planned and corrective maintenance for all material handling equipment to include weekly maintenance items, monthly maintenance items, and annual maintenance items. Perform pre and post operational checks as well as daily material and safety inspections of all terminal/stevedore support equipment. Record and report findings, complete daily work orders.

Monitor record, all equipment hours ensure only qualified operators are using assigned equipment. Tasks Performed Perform and maintain a planned maintenance system for all terminal support equipment to include weekly maintenance items, monthly maintenance items, and annual maintenance items. Perform pre and post operational checks as well as daily material and safety inspections of all terminal stevedore support equipment.

Establish logistical support and monitor established parts inventory, and ensure warranty work is preformed. Monitor, record, all equipment hours ensure only qualified using assigned equipment. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and associate may also perform other reasonable related business duties as assigned by the supervisor and other management as requiredMandatory Qualifications: Must supply own tools Use of basic hand tools.

Must be able to work independently. Preferred Qualifications Automotive maintenance and repair techniques typically guided through course of study at a trade school in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Proper use of hand and mechanical tools of the trade.

Gasoline and diesel engine experience. Safe operation of various types of heavy and light maritime and maintenance equipment. Basic techniques of radio communications.

Relevant computer hardware and software applications. Basic arithmetic function add, subtract, multiply and divideMandatory Qualifications: Must supply own tools Use of basic hand tools. Must be able to work independently.
