Position Summary:ย  JMT is currently looking for experienced utility designators to join the Underground Utilities, Land Surveying, and Mapping team in New Bern, North Carolina! ย 

Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.ย 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to locate subsurface utilities
  • Mark utilities upon location
  • Excavate utilities as needed
  • Interpret roadway and utility construction plans and utility record drawings
  • Record accurate and clear field notes
  • Document assignments
  • Collect data using survey equipment
  • Perform calculations
