Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform quality inspections on precision machined products to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements
- Read and understand complex blueprints and operational sketches.
- Utilize various measurement tools and equipment such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), micrometers, calipers, profilometers, optical comparators, height gages, indicators, bore gages, depth mics, and other precision instruments
- Conduct quality audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and procedures
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the quality control process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Assist in root cause investigations and corrective-action activities related to product and process quality issues.
- Follow established protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency in quality assurance processes
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred.
- Previous related experience in quality assurance required, working with precision machined components.
- Must be proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, optical comparators, and CMM inspection equipment with minimal supervision.
- Strong blueprint / GD&T knowledge. Must be able to independently interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T callouts for inspection planning and product acceptance.
- Must be experienced completing first article reports, inspection records, SPC documentation, and nonconformance documentation.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, quality management principles, and quality control techniques
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position will be on the manufacturing floor/quality lab on a daily basis.
- Will be required to comply with the Company's safety requirements, including to wear safety glasses in all production areas.
- Frequent walking, bending, stooping and reaching.
- May be required to lift up to 30 lbs on occasional basis.
