Huntingburg Elementary Science/STEM Specialized Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Science/STEM Specialized Instructional Assistant to join our dynamic educational team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our students' learning and exploration in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The ideal candidate will have a passion for inspiring young learners, assisting teachers in implementing engaging STEM activities, and fostering a love for scientific inquiry among elementary school students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials, equipment, and resources needed for Science and STEM experiments and projects.
  • Provide whole group Science and STEM activities, ensuring comprehension and participation.
  • Assist classroom teachers in planning and implementing STEM lessons and activities aligned with curriculum goals and objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other instructional assistants to assess student progress and provide feedback as needed.
