We're looking for a Production Supervisor at the Grand Rapids Wood Plant with a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, people management, and continuous improvement. Supporting Meaningful Work
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage a production division from raw materials to finished product, ensuring schedules are met
  • Lead and develop a team of 20-30 hourly employees, focusing on performance, training, and development
  • Participate in a leadership rotational program
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers to control costs and meet corporate goals
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations
  • Drive quality improvements and customer satisfaction
  • Provide coverage for Operations Managers and lead special projects as needed
  • Maintain flexibility to move between manufacturing areas based on business needs

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of proven leadership and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure
  • Bachelor's degree or military equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with engineering methods and capacity analysis

The target starting base salary for this position is $70,000 - $79,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
