Description
We are hiring a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead a high-performing Steelcase sales team in the greater Washington DC and Baltimore metro markets. The combination of these two areas offers one of the most dynamic and resilient mega-markets in the United States, and a key growth geography for Steelcase. The RSM will collaborate closely with our dealer partners, Steelcase sales teams, vertical market categories and Steelcase senior leaders to drive profitable growth and gain Steelcase Inc. market share in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications
  • -Demonstrated formal or informal leadership experience in a team-based sales environment

  • -Experience selling through and aligning with distribution

  • -Proven success selling into A&D in a specification driven sales role or as a team leader

  • -Ability to build and execute end-user focused new business development strategies in a market

  • -Located or willing to relocate in the Washington DC area

  • -Minimum 7-10 years of relevant sales or leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • -Prior management experience. If not formal, then strong evidence and examples of team leadership

  • -Knowledge of contract furniture industry.

  • -Knowledge of local market/region.
  • -Bachelor's degree

What You Will Be Doing:
  • -Delivering regional revenue results through direct leadership of seven sales professionals across Washington DC and Baltimore.
  • -Lead and motivate the team through shared vision, high empathy, and mutual accountability.

  • -Coordinating and deploying additional Steelcase sales resources within the region.

  • -Fostering leadership alignment and creating an environment for strong selling synergy with our two dealer partners.

  • -Develop relationships, brand awareness, and product preference within the Architecture+Design and Commercial -Real Estate communities in Washington DC and Baltimore.

  • -Creating and executing market strategies with an emphasis on new business development in competitive accounts and new vertical markets.

  • -Activating and enhancing the experience and offerings at our Washington DC Worklife Center
