Job description

Full-time Specialty Window & Door Installation Team Leader needed for a company located in Bay City, MI. Must have 5 years of experience with framing, rough carpentry, and installing windows and doors Lead a 3 4-person field crew installing specialty window and door systems, including multi-slide and bi-fold doors & windows, pivot doors, motorized retractable screens, and related products. You'll plan the day, coordinate site logistics, ensure quality and safety, and serve as the primary point of contact on site. Position offers a competitive salary and full benefits package. Key Responsibilities Lead daily crew planning, task assignments, and on-site coordination with GCs/homeowners. Perform and supervise installation: layout, framing prep, flashing, set/plumb/square, sealing, trim integration, testing, and final QA. Install and commission specialty systems (manual/motorized), including basic electrical coordination with licensed trades. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and manufacturer specifications; verify openings and tolerances. Troubleshoot field issues, propose solutions, and escalate when needed. Maintain safety standards, site cleanliness, and project documentation (photos, checklists, warranties). Train and mentor crew members while upholding company quality standards. Qualifications Strong residential construction background with framing and general carpentry skills. Basic window and door installation experience required; willingness to train on advanced specialty system. Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and follow manufacturer installation instructions. Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional with clients and trade partners. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Comfortable using lasers, levels, and hand/power tools. Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding while following safety protocols. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Schedule & Travel Monday Friday schedule with flexibility based on project needs. Statewide travel throughout Michigan. Occasional overnight travel as required. Company vehicle provided.
