Job description

The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Mill Service Manager to work at our Levy Brandenburg Mill Services location in Brandenburg, KY.  The Mill Service Manager plays a crucial role in fostering relationships with mill stakeholders, overseeing budgeting and planning, ensuring product quality, and driving process enhancements. They collaborate with various teams, manage customer service, analyze data, and contribute to quality systems documentation. Additionally, they prioritize safety, support the Operations Manager, and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Salary: $100,000+ (based on experience)

Responsibilities

The Mill Service Manager will: 

  • Develops and maintains relationships with mill management, vendors and operations management
  • Assists the Operations Manager in developing budgets and business plans
  • Ensures products and services meet customer specifications
  • Coordinates teams to identify process improvements
  • Reviews monthly budget to manage costs
  • Assists with the evaluation of capital expenditures
  • Manages steel mill customers service needs
  • Must be available to meet steel mill customer service needs
  • Runs KPI reports, analyzes data and utilizes information for better decision-making
  • Assists with the documentation of quality systems procedures and policies
  • Provides reporting and recordkeeping as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager
  • Responsible for safety of all mill crew personnel 

Skills

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Some college or degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in industrial or construction environment (steel mill experience preferable)
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations and ability to implement related programs and controls
  • Ability to understand financial data
  • Supervisory experience
  • Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Valid driver's license
