Job description

Overview:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, a Welder & Fabricator is responsible for manufacturing, fabricating, and welding of sheet and steel components through the interpretation of blueprints under the direction of the shift supervisor. It is essential the Welder & Fabricator promote a safe and efficient work environment while embracing a continuous improvement culture.

Essential duties include, but not limited to:

  • MIG welding steel components in accordance with weld procedures, techniques, and guidelines.
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality.
  • Interpreting blueprints to layout, measure, mark and assemble products.
  • Fastening, mounting, and assembling of small steel structures according to blueprints.
  • Assist co-workers and the department supervisor in meeting production targets.
  • Communicates effectively with team and office staff.
  • Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean work area.
  • Take on other duties as needed to help company meet goals.

Possible other duties include, but not limited to:

  • Operating machinery such as ironworkers and saws.
  • Moving materials through the operation of cranes, forklifts and/or pallet jacks.
  • Participating in training and other forms of development to strengthen technical skills.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2 or more years of experience MIG welding and fabrication in structural steel.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints.
  • Ability to read tape measure up to 16ths.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Be able to lift and carry objects (up to 50 pounds)
  • Demonstrates safe and ethical behavior at all times.
  • Motivated and team orientated individual.

Other Information:

  • Hourly - Full Time (M-F; 7:00AM-3:30PM; potential overtime opportunities)
  • Works out of our Manchester NH location, 983 S. Mammoth Rd
  • Weekly pay on Thursdays
