Structural steel estimator is responsible for accurately calculating the cost of materials, labor, and other expenses associated with constructing steel structures . Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the quantity and type of steel needed, then prepare detailed cost estimates and bids.This role is crucial for ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimating labor costs:
    .
    Calculating the time and resources required for fabrication, erection, and other related tasks.
  • Determining material costs:
    .
    Obtaining pricing from suppliers and vendors for steel, hardware, and other materials.
  • Developing cost estimates and bids:
    .
    Preparing comprehensive cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and fabricators:

    Working as part of a team to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
  • Negotiating with vendors and subcontractors:
