Slitter Operator

Pay: $17.00$20.00/hour (based on experience)
Bonus: Additional $1.00/hour Attendance Bonus

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate slitting equipment to process steel coil stock according to customer specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or machine operation experience, is mechanically inclined, and can accurately read a tape measure.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor slitting machines to process steel coil stock.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Measure materials using a tape measure, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Perform machine adjustments and tooling changes to maintain quality standards.
  • Inspect finished materials to verify dimensions and product quality.
  • Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate production records.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate larger repairs to the maintenance team.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Load and unload materials using forklifts or overhead cranes when required.
  • Support production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency.
