Position: Kitsap Co. After School STEAM Instructor
As a Kitsap Co. After School STEAM Instructor, your primary role will be to lead Snapology programs 24 days per week after school. Youll guide students through fun, educational activities that build confidence and real-world STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills.
Schedule:

  • Must be available weekdays 3 - 6 pm Starts 9/30/25. - Shifts available: Monday/Friday and/or Tuesday/ Thursday.
  • Programs offered for grades K6
  • Locations in the South Kitsap School District area
  • Additional hours available on weekdays, weekends and school breaks (optional)
Responsibilities
  • Keep kids engaged and excited about learning
  • Set clear expectations and create a positive classroom culture
  • Prepare for classes by reviewing curriculum and training materials
  • Represent Snapology with professionalism when interacting with parents and partners
  • Encourage future program enrollment with enthusiastic communication
  • Attend occasional training and team meetings
What Were Looking For
  • Must pass a background check and obtain necessary child clearances
  • 2+ years of experience working with children (teaching, camps, etc.)
  • Reliable transportation is a must
  • Positive attitude and consistent availability
  • Education or teaching experience is a plusbut not required!

Hours & Pay
This is a part-time position. Most instructors work 5-12 hours/week, with the option to expand hours based on availability and interest.
Assistant Instructors are paid $18.
Opportunity for shifts as Lead Instructor will be paid $25.
Training is paid at $18.
