Job description

Bring heat, comfort, and reliability to New York homes and businesses

We’re a long-standing, family-run shop in the Bronx known for craftsmanship, loyalty to our customers, and taking care of our own. As our next Hydronic & Steam Boiler Service Technician, you’ll be the face of that promise—keeping residential and commercial systems humming year-round.

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing the day’s route—mix of steam and hot-water calls across the boroughs. First stop: a preventive maintenance visit where you tune a gas-fired system, verify combustion, check safeties, and log your findings. Midday, a commercial client calls—no heat. You diagnose an electrical control fault using schematics, replace a failed component, test operation, and ensure compliance with local codes. Before you wrap, you walk a homeowner through repair options, timelines, and next steps, leaving thorough documentation for the office and the client.

What you’ll handle
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial boiler systems (steam and hot water; gas and oil)
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues safely and efficiently
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Ensure all work meets local codes, safety regulations, and company standards
  • Communicate clearly with customers about findings, timelines, and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
What you bring
  • 2–5 years of proven experience as a Boiler Technician or similar HVAC role
  • Strong knowledge of steam and hydronic systems; gas and oil-fired equipment
  • Hands-on skill with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • EPA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • OSHA knowledge is a plus
  • A reputation for reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
Why you’ll love working here
  • Competitive pay based on experience (starting at $30.00/hour) with benefits
  • Steady, year-round workload with overtime opportunities
  • A supportive, family-oriented culture that treats you like a person—not a number
  • Real long-term growth and stability
  • This is an on-site, field-based role
Proficiencies
  • Boiler Troubleshooting
  • Boiler Operation

If you take pride in doing the job right and want a stable home where your work truly matters, we’d love to meet you. Apply today.
