Job Title: Boiler Operator
Shift: Will train on 1st shift for six months and then will be assigned to either 2nd or 3rd shift
Pay: $30.65 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boiler Operator to join our team. The successful
candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our
boiler systems and associated equipment, including pumps, fans, controls, and burners. This role
is critical to ensuring our facility has a reliable source of steam or hot water by keeping the boiler
running smoothly and preventing costly downtime.
Key Responsibilities
-Operation: Safely and efficiently operate and maintain boilers, which are large and
potentially dangerous pieces of equipment. Monitor boiler systems to ensure they are
running properly and producing sufficient steam or hot water.
-Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on boilers and other pressure vessels to
ensure they run safely and efficiently.
-Troubleshooting: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any problems that may arise with
the complex boiler equipment. Take corrective action before potential problems cause
serious damage.
-Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, maintaining awareness of potential hazards to
ensure safe equipment operation and prevent accidents.
-Efficiency: Operate the boiler in an efficient manner to conserve fuel and minimize
emissions.
-Record Keeping: Keep accurate and detailed records of the boiler's operating parameters
and maintenance history to assist with troubleshooting, identifying trends, and planning
for future needs.
