Lyten is an advanced materials company developing revolutionary next-generation battery cell chemistry.We areseekinga highly motivated Process Engineer Intern to join our Advanced AnodeTeam this summer. This role offers a fast-paced, hands-on environment where you will gain experience in industry-standard process development while applying your engineering skills to solve real-world scale-up challenges at Lyten's San Jose facility.

As an intern, you will work closely with the anode engineering team to design and execute experiments, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and drive continuous process improvements. We are looking for students with strong technical foundations, a data-driven mindset, and a proactive attitude who are excited to contribute and learn in a dynamic R&D environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and own process development experiments.

  • Identifyprocess issues and key failure modes; initiate root cause analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements.

  • Collect, analyze, and document experimental data; communicate findings clearly and efficiently.

  • Develop andmaintainstandard operating procedures (SOPs) for anode processes.

  • Summarize project outcomes and present results at the end-of-internship internal conference.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing abachelor's or master'sdegree, or advanced degreein Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Previousinternship or hands-on experience in a similar technical environment is preferred.

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Python, R, or JMP.

  • Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus.

  • Comfortable working in an R&D and prototype-development environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and willing to take initiative in a fast-paced setting.

  • Understandingbattery science and engineering fundamentals is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability tolift upto 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand and work in adryroomenvironment for up to6hours per day.

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between

$25.00 - $32.00

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
