Job description

Primary location: Pensacola, Florida 
Relocation offered: Yes

The estimated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

 

Process Engineer

Support value stream/plant by providing hands-on technical support, project management and process improvement leadership so that the plant meets its manufacturing goals and continuously improves beyond best practice in safety, quality, cost, and effectiveness.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide hands-on technical support, project leadership, and process improvement expertise to support value stream and plant manufacturing goals
  • Lead medium to large-scale projects focused on:
    • cost reduction
    • new product development
    • process improvement
  • Serve as a project leader for key operational and manufacturing improvement initiatives
  • Observe and troubleshoot production line issues in real time while partnering cross-functionally to implement corrective actions
  • Identify and initiate manufacturing process improvement opportunities while acting with an "owner of the business" mindset
  • Advocate for Quality Systems and ensure customer-focused decision making throughout operations
  • Share technical and scientific knowledge across the manufacturing organization to improve plant performance
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational improvement objectives
  • Support and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations related to material usage, process failures, and process control
  • Apply process improvement tools including:
    • Lean manufacturing
    • Six Sigma
    • Design of Experiments (DOE)
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Monitor, audit, and improve process control initiatives across the plant
  • Coach production operators on:
    • process control methodologies
    • equipment capabilities
    • operational best practices
  • Support plant safety initiatives through active participation in:
    • safety audits
    • risk assessments
    • continuous safety improvement efforts
  • Create and revise raw material specifications to meet operational and customer requirements
  • Support integrated projects and continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of the value stream
