Process Engineer | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Walker seeking Process Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful new product introductions and process improvements.
  • Monitor key process indicators and implement statistical process control measures.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies or equipment to enhance production capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all process designs.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes using tools like Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and other engineering documentation.
