STAT Home Health is hiring for a Full-Time Clerical Support Medical Assistant position!

Qualifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent;
  • Active Medical Assistant certification
  • Proficient with computers, able to navigate through various computer systems and programs quickly
  • Can type at least 40-50 words per minute;
  • Excellent oral communication skills;
  • Ability to use a variety of office machines and office software programs;
  • Must be willing to obtain clerical skills and basic computer knowledge with home health computer systems, OASIS, plan of care and regulations;
  • At least one year experience in the home health field preferred;
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Greet customers and vendors at the front desk
  • Answer incoming Calls
  • Create Admit packets for Clinical Staff
  • Keep up with office supplies and ensure Fax and Copier are operating properly
  • Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from authorized users.
  • Keep Medical supply room stocked correctly at all times ensuring items that have expired are discarded properly.
  • Assist clinical staff with Questions regarding medical supplies ordered for medicare and commercial patients.
  • Scan or read incoming materials in order to determine how and where they should be classified or filed.
  • Sort or classify information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria, or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order.
  • Upload Consents, Notice of Medicare Non Coverage and Emergency Preparedness Evacuation forms to patient's chart.
  • Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail.
