What is a Stat Med?

The term 'stat' comes from the Latin word 'statim,' meaning 'immediately.' These medications are typically used in emergency situations where rapid intervention is necessary to stabilize a patient's condition. Stat Meds are prioritized over routine or scheduled medications, and healthcare providers must act quickly to ensure they are given as soon as possible.
