STAT Home Health in Fayetteville, AR is seeking an experienced Medical Records Specialist!

Essential duties include:
  • File all patient documents, keep charts in order, and get medical records when requested
  • Create new records as necessary
  • Maintains new hire personnel files, updates personnel files ongoing
  • Ensures Employee Health and Education, Agency and Contract Services stay up to date
  • Participates in and coordinates employee orientation. Notifies supervisor(s) of any documentation or orientation requirement needed
  • Ensures confidentiality and professionalism are maintained when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
    • Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail.
    • Ensures documents flow in a coordinated and efficient manner;
    • Answers telephones and performs other duties as requested.
  • Order all DME equipment and maintain records
  • Develop and oversee policies related to DME

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Must have excellent oral communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, ability to work independently and possess good time management skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency using medical software programs, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in clinical records/medical records operations preferred
