Job description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an exceptional Senior Manager, Product Management, to lead AWS Activate - our flagship startup program to onboard startups to AWS. You will own the end-to-end product experience that onboards tens of thousands of startups onto AWS each year.
As the single-threaded leader for Activate, you will own the product strategy, business strategy, and operational strategy for the program - spanning startup onboarding experience, credit automation, intelligent credit allocation, fraud prevention, provider partnerships, and customer support. You will lead a team of product managers, engineers, and operations specialists to transform how startups onboard to AWS, delivering a seamless startup onboarding experience. You will drive modernization of the program - including agentic and AI-driven experiences - to increase startup acquisition, reduce friction, and accelerate startup success on AWS.
This role sits at the intersection of product management, customer acquisition, financial management, and technical execution. You will partner with Startup Sales, Marketing, Investor Managers, and AWS Service teams to maximize the reach and optimize the startup onboarding funnel to drive measurable business impact on startup acquisition. You will also build deep relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, and startup ecosystem partners to expand acquisition channels and drive engagement with key channels.
Key job responsibilities
Product Strategy & Startup Onboarding
* Define and execute the multi-year product vision for AWS Activate, with the primary goal of onboarding startups to AWS - leveraging credits as a key instrument
* Own the roadmap for startup onboarding automation, intelligent credit allocation, and fraud detection - partnering closely with engineering and applied science teams
* Drive product decisions that optimize the startup acquisition and onboarding funnel, improving conversion rates across channels
Growth Strategy & Business Impact
* Partner with Finance to model program economics and build ROI frameworks that demonstrate business impact
* Establish and track KPIs across startup onboarding, credit issuance, processing SLAs, fraud rates, and customer lifetime value
* Balance growth objectives with sustainable unit economics and long-term program health
Startup & VC Ecosystem Leadership
* Build and maintain deep relationships with top-tier venture capital firms, accelerators, and startup ecosystem players
* Identify emerging trends in the startup landscape and translate ecosystem insights into product decisions and acquisition strategy
* Partner with a broad network of Activate Providers (VCs, accelerators, incubators) to scale startup acquisition channels
Cross-Functional Leadership
* Lead a team spanning engineering, operations, and product - including managing managers
* Set strategic direction and drive alignment across Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product, and Finance stakeholders
* Present business cases, investment recommendations, and program performance to VP and SVP-level audiences
* Foster a culture of customer obsession, data-driven decision making, and bias for action
