In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:


This Subcontract Program Manager position on Orion is responsible for leading a team of up to ten experienced Subcontract Program Managers responsible for over one billion dollars of subcontract value.
Support the Supply Chain Human Space Exploration segment for the Commercial Civil Space LOB.
May be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of several Orion suppliers
Lead diverse subcontract management teams that are spread across the country from various organizations (Supply chain, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Finance)
Responsibility for and directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout.
Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor.
Oversee milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
Present supplier performance to internal program and LOB executives and external NASA customers
Oversight of Supply Chain Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities
Manage impacts to subcontractor cost and program schedule
Serve as Orion Supply Chain Program Manager on program pursuits and captures
Create Subcontract Management Plans
Oversee Statement of Work development
Monitor and oversee subcontract placement per Integrated Master Schedules for Contracts/CLINs
Establishing and executing acquisition strategies to support program objectives as well as supply chain resiliency
Provide effective communication across multiple disciplines internal and external to Lockheed Martin
Manage competing demands between aggressive program schedule milestones and functional compliance responsibilities
Oversight and strategy on risk, issues, and opportunities management
This role oversees the negotiation and coordination of additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
Develop effective relationships with supplier leadership.
Some (up to 25%) travel to the subcontractor locations is required.
