You’ll likely collaborate with multiple team members, attend brainstorming sessions, and sometimes contribute to strategic discussions. The environment is usually fast-paced and flexible, giving interns the chance to take ownership of projects and see tangible results from their work. Job description

We are looking for a Marketing Intern to help shape how MOBY is communicated to investors, partners, and the broader market. This is not a traditional marketing role. You will work directly with the founding team on high-impact content that translates complex technical systems into clear, compelling narratives. We are looking for someone who can think critically, write clearly, and operate with a high degree of ownership in a fast-moving environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the development of investor updates, company announcements, and strategic communications
• Translate technical concepts into clear, concise messaging for external audiences
• Assist in refining website copy, product descriptions, and system overviews
• Create and iterate on content for LinkedIn and other distribution channels
• Conduct market and competitive research to inform positioning and messaging
• Help maintain consistency across all external communications and brand materials
• Collaborate closely with engineering and leadership to ensure technical accuracy
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
• Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Interest in robotics, ocean technology, or deep tech more broadly
• High ownership mindset and ability to operate independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
• Ability to edit and produce photo and video content for marketing and social distribution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with technical writing, journalism, or content creation
• Familiarity with startups, venture, or investor communications
• Experience with design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite)
• Background or coursework in engineering, science, or economics
Benefits
WHAT WE OFFER
• Competitive compensation
• Direct exposure to company-building at an early-stage deep tech startup
• Experience working on real investor and market-facing communications
• Close collaboration with founders and technical teams
• A portfolio of high-impact work across multiple channels
