Paralegal Job Summary

The Paralegal will assist the Companys legal team by providing complex and specialized clerical and research support services.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Meets with attorneys and other professionals to effectively communicate, schedule, and coordinate various legal matters.
  • Facilitates and manages the execution of a wide range of real estate, commercial, and operational agreements.
  • Schedules all conference calls and meetings.
  • Assists with the preparation, review, and modification of legal documents, including communications, contracts, court filings, government filings, and various other related paperwork and documentation.
  • Aids in managing active litigation and insurance matters, coordinating efforts with internal stakeholders and outside counsel when necessary.
  • Maintains trackers and creates reports of follow-up items, including responsive dates and deadlines.
  • Oversees the organization and archiving of all legal documents and correspondence for easy retrieval and in compliance with document retention policies.
  • Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves files relevant to ongoing legal matters.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed

  • Associate's degree is required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of legal secretary experience required. Real Estate transaction experience a BIG PLUS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, and other related matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Strong technical agility, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced environment and have experience working in companies with great growth.
  • Must be able to reasonably commute into the corporate office in Ladera Ranch Monday through Friday.
