Job description

Finished Goods Handler

The Finished Goods Handler safely uses a forklift to move product into storage area or in position for shipping. Work is typically completed in a cold/refrigerated space.

Essential Functions
  • Put finished good pallets away into storage racks
  • Pull orders for shipments
  • Take cycle count inventories
  • Maintain required paperwork
  • Report any mechanical problems to supervisor and Maintenance
  • Work safely
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of machinery in work area
  • Keep work area clean and free of debris
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures and good work practices
  • Participates in audits where assigned (Safety, GMP, 5S, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, working nights. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 Years of Forklift experience
  • Experience in a Freezer/Cold storage environment preferred

The employee will follow all food safety policies and requirement:

  • Will follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the CraftMark Bakery Food Safety and Quality Systems.
  • Will be accountable to the CraftMark Bakery Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
