We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team at Well Star Health Services. While the primary schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient needs.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing both structured and unstructured interviewing techniques.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, integrating developmental considerations and family dynamics for optimal outcomes.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to address diverse mental health issues.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions, aiding parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing home environment conducive to the child’s growth.
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and develop holistic treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support during emergency situations involving young patients.
• Educate patients and families about mental health disorders, treatment pathways, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Actively engage in team meetings and professional development opportunities, ensuring alignment with the latest industry practices.
• Stay current with research advancements in child and adolescent mental health to continuously enhance service delivery.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work primarily with children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Our patient-centered approach is designed to empower young individuals and their families, equipping them with the tools needed for improved mental health and overall well-being.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health issues, along with evidence-based treatment techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a compassionate, child-centered approach.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and adeptness at leveraging technology to enhance patient care.
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a multidisciplinary team.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally focusing on child and adolescent therapy.
• Established track record of delivering individual and family therapy designed for younger populations.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex mental health cases with an emphasis on evidence-based practices.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise.
