Job description

Amazon Web Services' Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced professionals to help build the world's premier cloud computing platform. We are looking for Manufacturing Test Engineers who are capable of operating in a fast paced, ever changing, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment. Our Test Engineering team works closely with our ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and with upstream component vendors to ensure right Test Flow, tools and test plans are established and validated for a product to launch and scale up across multiple sites world-wide.

This role requires the engineer to be a technical contact and take on full ownership of the manufacturing launch and resolution of Test issues. You will be the driver in getting production scaled across a global network. You will own the Test performance as well as the processes that go with them.

You will implement standardized test methods & troubleshooting guides world-wide across multiple ODMs and CMs ensuring consistent usage and processes across sites.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Key job responsibilities
Own the Manufacturing Test Ecosystem - Architect, develop, and sustain the end-to-end test infrastructure for Server hardware through System-level Rack integration. Understand Vendor and AWS managed Tests and optimize test coverage.

Drive Automation, Yield & Uptime - Develop automated test processes to reduce manual intervention, increase throughput, and improve first-pass & final-pass yield; monitor test performance across shifts and lead triage for test-station failures across platforms. Drive broader operational improvements based on lessons learned from other ODM/CM.
Define Test Strategy & Analyze Production Data - Establish modular test strategies by establishing statistical process control limits, analyzing production data to identify trends, problem-solving failures, and drive closed loop corrective actions through periodic reviews.

Support NPI & Provide DFx Feedback - Partner on test solution development from ODMs to enable efficient production ramp and ensuring phase-gate Operational readiness.
Collaborate & Guide Test infrastructure across ODM/CM sites - Work across hardware design, firmware, process/quality engineering, and operations teams to align test requirements.
