Test Platform Software Developer & Integrator

Summary of Job:

The Test Platform Software Developer & Integrator will join the Global Test Engineering team to design, develop, and integrate software solutions that optimize Asurion's test platforms and improve operational efficiency. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Test Engineering, this role focuses on developing and integrating applications, APIs, and data systems that streamline test workflows, increase automation, and improve traceability and reporting across Asurion's global testing environments.

This position works closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to connect and enhance third-party testing software, automate manual processes, and enable seamless data flow between systems. The role also involves driving continuous improvement through software innovation-reducing manual steps, increasing testing throughput, and improving system visibility and performance.

This position is dedicated to enabling seamless integration, automation, and innovation within Asurion's testing ecosystem to deliver better speed, efficiency, and accuracy across all test operations.

This is a full-time onsite employment position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate software tools and systems to improve test platform efficiency, automation, and data connectivity.
  • Create and maintain APIs, automation scripts, and integration frameworks that connect Asurion's internal and third-party testing systems.
  • Collaborate with test engineers, software developers, and operations teams to identify process bottlenecks and develop software solutions that improve speed, consistency, and scalability.
  • Implement continuous integration (CI) and automation improvements that enhance overall test performance and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide visibility into test metrics, process health, and system performance.
  • Integrate third-party diagnostic, test, and data management applications into Asurion's global test environment.
  • Support test automation efforts that allow high-volume device testing, improved traceability, and reduced manual input.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve integration efficiency and maintain system compatibility.
  • Work with global teams to ensure standardized software integration methods, frameworks, and documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for integrations, APIs, and process workflows.
  • Provide troubleshooting and debugging support for test software, integrations, and related systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure test software aligns with business requirements, operational technology, and long-term test strategy.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to evolving technologies and project needs, supporting initiatives that contribute to Asurion's operational success.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong proficiency in software development and integration, including programming languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript (Node.js/React).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, SDKs, and web services for system-to-system integration.
  • Understanding of automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and system integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with data management, SQL/NoSQL databases, and developing dashboards or reports for analytics and visibility.
