Job Description

Position Title: Press Operator - Stamping

FLSA Status: Non-exempt Level 2

Position Summary: Performs duties required to efficiently operate the stamping press to manufacture quality parts.

Position Responsibilities:

Performs press operations in accordance with Operation Standards and Work Instructions.

Detects and reports defective materials to supervisor.

Conducts press operation safety checks on prescribed intervals.

May perform minor maintenance and machine adjustments.

Operates overhead crane to stage steel coils at the press.

Records production data in the system.

Performs general clean-up and organization of work area (SCORE- Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, and Efficiency).

Other duties as assigned to maintain production.

Qualifications:

High School diploma.

Follows all safety requirements of the company - PPE, (hat, glasses, steel-toed boots, uniform, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) safe job behaviors, etc.

Able to safely and efficiently operate a forklift by passing forklift training class and obtaining license.

Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Able to read and understand operation standards, job instructions and product labels.

Able to handle multiple tasks and meet production quotas.

Overhead crane training.

Work Environment:

Plant environment.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Regularly exposed to dust, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
