Job description

We are seeking a talented Finish Carpenter with experience in stair building and finish trim installation.

This is a full time position with health benefits, 401K, and vacation pay.

Our Company works with, designers, architects, and builders on luxury residential projects. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and able to lead and communicate effectively on a job site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build stairs: Measure, layout, and construct complex staircases, treads, risers, and curved railings.
  • Install trim: Cut and fit crown molding, baseboards, wainscoting, and door casings.
  • Hang doors: Set high-end interior and exterior doors, including pocket doors and custom hardware.
  • Read blueprints: Interpret architectural drawings to calculate exact material needs.
  • Verify accuracy: Ensure all finished work is perfectly level, square, and plumb.
  • Maintain safety: Operate shop machinery and hand tools safely while keeping a clean site.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 4–5 years in high-end finish carpentry.
  • Stair expertise: knowledge of stair geometry, rise and run calculations,
  • Tool proficiency: Master level skills with miter saws, routers, table saws, and hand tools.
  • Detail oriented: A sharp eye for wood grain matching and flawless finishes.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy wood materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for long periods.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and balance on ladders or scaffolding.
