Job description

Position Overview

Senior Stair Installer & Delivery Driver - $75K + $15K Sign-On Bonus 

 Location: Charlotte, NC  Schedule: Monday-Friday (+ additional hours as needed)  Pay: $75,000/year (non-exempt + overtime eligible) 

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 Total 

  • Paid as 3 installments of $5,000  
  • Issued at 12 months, 24 months, and 36 months  
  • Must be actively employed at time of payout  

Step Into a Senior-Level Role 

Southern Staircase (Edge Building Solutions) is seeking an experienced carpenter/installer for a hands-on, field-based role installing high-end stair systems. 

This is NOT a delivery-only position-you'll be actively installing on job sites while also handling deliveries.

What You'll Do: 

  • Install custom stair systems (straight & curved)  
  • Cut, level, shim, and secure components using hand/power tools  
  • Read and execute blueprints and layouts  
  • Load, deliver, and unload materials (up to 75 lbs.)  
  • Drive a 26' box truck to job sites  
  • Assist in the warehouse as needed  
  • Maintain safe, clean, and professional job sites  

What You Bring: 

  • 2+ years of carpentry, framing, or woodworking experience (REQUIRED)  
  • Skilled with saws, drills, levels, and measuring tools  
  • Ability to read layouts and work independently  
  • Valid driver's license + clean MVR  
  • DOT medical card (or ability to obtain)  
  • Must be 21+ years old  
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in outdoor/job site conditions
