Regional Technical Program Manager Role:

As a member of the company’s Data Center Operations Programs team, the Technical Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for improving field operations performance by developing training programs, supporting operational systems and processes, leading change management initiatives, and identifying opportunities to increase productivity, quality, and safety. It also involves analyzing operational data, documenting and implementing best practices, collaborating on continuous improvement efforts, and helping ensure personnel are properly trained and qualified to deliver services effectively.

Duties

  • Provide analytics and recommendations on the placement of new field operations personnel to include systems training and operational qualifications.
  • Drive definition, development and implementation of service delivery, maintenance, quality control, and safety process changes aimed at driving field operations productivity and effectiveness.
  • Provide user support and training for key field operations tools and processes.
  • Lead change management activities for field operations initiatives.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving process and system issues that inhibit field operations productivity.
  • Develop expertise in service delivery best practices, maintenance and repair performance, quality control, and safety from both an internal perspective and a customer perspective.
  • Participate in departmental steering meetings.
  • Attend service delivery and maintenance activities to review and assess best practices. Gather, document and share best practices departmentally. Drive necessary changes to systems based on process improvements. 
  • Analyze and share departmental reporting results to identify and prioritize productivity inhibitors in the field; partner with the Continuous Improvement team to address productivity issues that span multiple organizations. Leverage Lean Six Sigma principles to provide immediate process improvement solutions contained within field operations.
  • Develop, implement, and score various drill scenarios used in training site personnel
  • Promote and demonstrate the behaviors consistent with CoreSite’s culture and core values.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, with regular on-site presence of up to 2 days per week.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50%, with the potential for increased travel or in-office presence as business needs evolve.

  • Lead cross-functional programs and manage external vendor relationships.
  • Oversee budgets, projects, and multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, operational tools, dashboards, and training programs.

Education/Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in data center operations and project/program management.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Knowledge of the data center, internet and telecommunications industries
  • Experience working with various field operations enablement/productivity software applications
