This is a hybrid role supporting manufacturing operations through electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering while also serving as the site lead for MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and NSR (Network Site Resource) capabilities.
This role focuses on daytoday technical support, system integration, and continuous improvement, acting as the link between shopfloor automation, digital manufacturing systems, and business reporting. The position supports capital projects, ensures reliable data flow from equipment to systems, and enables operators, maintenance, and engineers to effectively use MES.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide handson electrical, instrumentation, and controls troubleshooting support to manufacturing operations

  • Support PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and data collection systems tied to MES.

  • Assist with system startups, commissioning, and equipment modifications.

  • Support electrical safety initiatives and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

  • Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and control documentation.

  • Serve as the site MES and NSR lead, supporting production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot MES workflows, dashboards, and integrations with shopfloor equipment.

  • Support data connectivity between machines, PLCs, and MES.

  • Partner with IT, Corporate Engineering, and external vendors to resolve IT system issues.

  • Support capital projects as the EIC and MES technical representative.

  • Assist with concept development, feasibility analysis, scope definition, and execution support.

  • Ensure new equipment and upgrades are designed with proper automation, instrumentation, and MES integration

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, or related field

  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, controls, or industrial systems

  • Exposure to PLCbased control systems (AllenBradley and/or Siemens preferred)

  • Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation

  • Experience or strong interest in MES, data collection, or manufacturing systems

  • Ability to learn and support reporting tools (e.g., dashboards, Power BI or similar)

  • PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and industrial automation fundamentals

  • Familiarity with interpreting P&IDs, electrical drawings, and schematics
