Responsibilities
The incumbent in the Cost Price unit is responsible for assisting with performing, under general direction, quantitative analyses of contractors' proposed prices and negotiating prices with contractors. The incumbent will be trained in preparing cost and price analyses, detailed analyses of contractors’ price and cost proposals. The incumbent will also assist with the following functions: formulate negotiation positions; negotiate prices for sole source contracts, contract modifications, construction change orders and other procurement actions; communicate; prepare written narrative summarizing negotiations and corresponding results. Performs other analyses as required.
 
Education and Experience
Staff Analyst Trainee II 
A Baccalaureate degree in a related field and one (1) year of full-time experience as a Staff Analyst Trainee I. 
Staff Analyst Trainee I 
A Baccalaureate degree in a related field from an accredited college. 
All candidates must possess a baccalaureate degree to apply to this position.
