Description:
Actively participate in all phases of project software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, database design, physical data modeling, process flow analysis, development, benchmark analysis, performance/tuning, capacity planning, and production implementation.
- Production support responsibilities include maximizing system availability, optimizing database and availability through ongoing maintenance, and ensure conformance to audit and operating standards.
-• Ability to analyze existing data, tables, queries, stored procedures and reports to determine application operation
• Ability to quickly and succinctly troubleshoot application and data issues from user observations; must be able to work closely with users to determine requirements
• Thought leader who can envision innovative solutions which drive improvements for overall organizational information delivery
• Ability to recommend and implement timely and appropriate solutions, including:
• Changes to SQL objects, web-based reports, and various home-grown and off-the-shelf applications
• Small application development using Operational Data Stores (ODS) architecture or similar
• Creating or changing data tables, queries, stored procedures, reports and web pages
• Integration with other mainframe and non-mainframe applications
• Updating / refreshing test environments; following version control and change controls processes • Support of user requests to research specific questions related to SQL or other relational databases
• Must be a self-starter who can leverage multiple sources for technical support (e.g., Stack Overflow, user groups, Google)
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities to deliver to deadlines; resilient when faced with rapidly changing demands:
- 5+ years of SSRS experience.
