These nurses provide patient care, administer medications, assist with procedures, and support patients and their families throughout the healthcare process. SSM nurses work in various specialties, including acute care, surgery, pediatrics, and more, depending on the facility and department. They uphold the mission and values of SSM Health, focusing on compassionate and high-quality care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an SSM Health registered nurse, and why are they important?

To thrive as an SSM Health Registered Nurse, you need a valid RN license, a degree in nursing, and strong clinical assessment and patient care abilities. Familiarity with SSM Health's electronic health record systems, medication administration tools, and evidence-based care protocols is essential. Compassion, teamwork, and excellent communication skills help nurses connect with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams. These competencies ensure safe, high-quality care and support the mission-driven environment at SSM Health.
