Job Description
Under general direction, the candidate will work closely with the services and product development team to implement Business Intelligence solutions. Deep knowledge and experience in Microsoft SQL Server products is required, including T-SQL, Analysis Services and SSRS. Candidate will work with project team and client personnel to develop, document and implement complex business requirements related to processing SSAS Tabular Models and SQL Server databases. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent troubleshooting skills to uncover data issues throughout the life-cycle of information processed from myriad data sources.
Candidate must either possess or be able to quickly acquire a working knowledge of DAX, the SSAS Tabular model programming language. The candidate must be willing to educate themselves on and off work-hours to come up to speed on the latest technologies in use by the products we are developing. The candidate must be a self-starter that accepts nothing less than excellence in every endeavor. Various client engagement may require work off-hours where accuracy and communication with all project stakeholders is managed.
The candidate must be highly disciplined and able to deliver accurate, efficient working product without dependence on traditional QA methodologies.
The candidate will be working with individuals that are experts in their domain and require excellence in order to meet requirements of fast-paced and results oriented team.
Position Responsibilities:
* Work with project team in all facets of implementing business intelligence solutions as they specifically are related to processing SSAS Tabular models and the customization of the same models.
* Work within proprietary framework as necessary for the development of client requirements.
* Develop and maintain SQL stored procedures required to support data retrieval and object delivery.
* Develop and maintain SSAS Tabular Models utilizing proprietary technology.
* Research and identify data issues, performance issues, and provide support for SSRS team.
* Acquire and maintain a high degree of business domain knowledge and current best practices.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in the developing complex SQL Server solutions
* T-SQL, SSAS, DAX, MDX
* Strong technical, logical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
* Thorough understanding of the full software development life cycle.
* Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with technical, business, and management staff.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal and external clients.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a highly energized and fast-paced environment within a framework of constantly shifting deadlines and deliverables.
* Flexibility to adapt to change and willing to learn and develop new skill sets as applicable.
