OPPORTUNITY: VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/CLIENT ADVISORY - ORLANDO, FL
Job Summary:
As an experienced Business Development professional, this position identifies and manages opportunities to expand our portfolio and relationships with current and potential clients. The Vice President of Client Advisory relies on existing relationships as well as developing new relationships to identify and qualify new business opportunities, including third-party management companies to purchase. This position is both strategic and tactical, with the ability to personally contribute to a cohesive, collaborative business development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, exemplary written and oral communication skills, strong persuasive salesmanship, financial acumen and ideally some level of operational or asset management experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may have supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; developing staff and building a strong pool of resources.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
โ€ข Identifies opportunities and risks associated with the following factors impacting growth: team, processes, resources, organization, industry, market, customers, technology and geography.
โ€ข Coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver services to clients while building a pipeline for future management contracts.
โ€ข Initiates professional partnerships with developers.
โ€ข Leads consulting strategy and implements systems related to new fee management developments for SRG Residential.
โ€ข Communicates marketing and business development strategy and goals within SRG Residential as well as company growth capabilities to the greater multifamily real estate audience.
โ€ข Continuously develops a deep and nuanced understanding of assigned and related geographic markets.
โ€ข Creates and interprets measurement tools in order to establish effectiveness of business development efforts.
โ€ข Provides relevant market data and competitive market surveys to potential and existing clients.
โ€ข Generates proforma budgets and underwriting reports for potential and existing clients.
โ€ข Responds quickly to client requests; follows up on unanswered or unresolved business development questions.
โ€ข Maintains knowledge of industry-related trends and technology, understanding all aspects of operations; stay current on laws and policies relative to the industry; demonstrate software proficiency and maintains network of peers and industry sources.
โ€ข Travels to annual industry conferences and markets as needed.
โ€ข Willing and able to speak at industry events and represent SRG positively and professionally.
Education and Experience:
โ€ข 5+ years of related experience in the multifamily industry, ideally in MF business development and Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Qualifications:
โ€ข Experience in sales, marketing or business development, or related field.
โ€ข Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation preferred.
โ€ข Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly strong MS Excel skills with the ability to perform complex formulas and calculations.
โ€ข Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
โ€ข Ability to travel by air and car up to 50% of the time.
Salary range $180,000-$195,000 annually. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location. Regular full-time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits and vacation accrual. Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.
