Unicorn Construction is seeking a:


Civil / Heavy / Highway Site Superintendent


  • Working in the field on project's location throughout LI/NYC/NJ
  • Capable of integrating the functions of various work trades, including subcontractors
  • Able to handle work that may range from one large project to multiple simultaneous smaller projects
  • Knowledgeable about applicable safety standards
  • Full Time responsibility and management of the Project
  • Capable of reading, understanding and executing project plans, specifications and standards for heavy and highway construction
  • Ability to keep the project within budget and within the milestones per CPM


Minimum Qualification Requirements:


  • At least 3 years of experience in the Heavy/Highway Field of Construction.
  • At least 1 year of experience functioning in a role of superintendent on relevant projects to our targeted field.
  • Civil Engineering Degree is not required, but advantageous.
  • Proficient in project planning, task planning and coordination, logistical management of resources (labor, equipment, materials)
  • Ability to set up a level and transfer grades from a benchmark provided by a surveyor.
  • Ability to read and execute work from Contract plans and Approved Shop Drawings.
  • Prior understanding and knowledge of NYC Union Rules
  • Must have ability to clearly document and communicate both written and verbal
