Senior Tax Associate

We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Senior Tax Associate to join our wealth management firm. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and executives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in personal and fiduciary tax matters, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual, trust, and estate
  • Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services tailored to clients' financial situations and long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors, estate planners, and legal professionals to deliver integrated wealth management solutions.
  • Represent clients in IRS and state tax audits and correspondence.
  • Stay current on tax law changes and communicate implications to clients and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and evaluating their tax needs as part of the broader financial planning process.
  • Engage in tax planning and consulting process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or EA required) or working towards certification.
  • 2-5 years of experience in tax advisory, public accounting firm serving high-net-worth clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of individual, trust, and estate taxation.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH, Sure Prep, or similar) and financial planning tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of investment taxation, including carried interest, K-1s, and passive activity rules.
  • Big Four Public accounting experience
