Senior System Administrator (TS/SCI with Polygraph)
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Innovative System Solutions (ISSI) is seeking a Senior System Administrator with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates seeking meaningful work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
About the Role
The Senior System Administrator will support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role is responsible for managing system infrastructure and ensuring reliable day-to-day operations across client, server, storage, and network environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • ProvideTier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, including problemidentification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Supportescalation processes and communicate status updates to agency managementand internal stakeholders
  • Maintaininvolvement in dispatch system and hardware issue resolution
  • Configureand manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Install,troubleshoot, and maintain operating system software and networkcomponents
  • Implementsystem enhancements to improve performance and reliability
  • Monitordaily IT system operations, including servers, storage, networks, andmobile devices
  • Performsystem capacity planning and resource optimization
  • Developsystem engineering management and integration/test plans
  • Providedetailed analysis and feedback for escalated issues
  • Collaboratewith government personnel, program staff, and senior leadership
  • Ensuretechnical integrity of systems engineering deliverables

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs ofsimilar scope and complexity
  • Bachelor'sdegree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
    • Substitutions:
      • 5additional years of SA experience may substitute for a degree
      • 5additional years of Systems Engineering experience may also substitute
  • Strongexperience troubleshooting complex IT systems
  • Experiencewith UNIX and Windows system administration
  • Abilityto manage daily IT operations and provide user support

Salary Range 170-175,000
The salary range provided is a general guideline. ISSI considers several factors when determining compensation, including the role's responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
