You'll design durable software, build AI-native applications using commoditized AI, and influence technology direction across teams and domains. You'll solve hard cross-cutting problems and accelerate the engineers around you. Responsibilities
- Drive velocity by accelerating customer, business, and technology outcomes
- Solve cross-cutting technical problems with complex dependencies and unclear definitions
- Lead architectural design for major product or system changes
- Build production solutions using commoditized AI, adhering to AI-Native Principles across your domain
- Use evaluation tools to validate and measure AI solution accuracy
- Evaluate and integrate transformative technologies that shape the future technical landscape
- Define coding principles, engineering standards, and testing strategies for your domain
- Drive adoption of best practices and tooling across multiple teams
- Help engineers beyond your team with feedback and architectural guidance
- Partner with Architecture, Product, Operations, and other groups on cross-functional design
Qualifications
- 8+ years developing systems and software for large business environments.
- 5+ years designing complex distributed systems, platforms, or business applications
- Hands-on experience integrating AI into production software, ideally driving AI projects standalone with commoditized AI tools and agentic workflows.
- Experience using AI evaluation tools and shipping AI features to production.
- Full-stack experience with modern AI/ML platforms (Vertex AI, SageMaker, Bedrock), LLM APIs, agent orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and Python; plus depth in at least one of:
- Front-end: React, Angular, SwiftUI (iOS), Kotlin (Android)
- Back-end: Java, TypeScript, Spring, Node.js
- Production experience in AWS or GCP
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
- Drives velocity in a matrixed environment with numerous stakeholders
- Strong mentor; communicates effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent communicator; self-starter who makes decisions independently
- Drives results across cross-functional, globally distributed teams

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position in the Bay area is: $ 220,500 - $298,500.
