Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Senior Project Manager in Tempe, AZ. The Senior Project Manager leads complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects from initial estimation through final closeout, ensuring high-quality delivery within strict timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with an engineering or construction background, capable of managing large-scale projects while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and servant leadership.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $120,000 to $157,050 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the successful completion of high-quality projects within specified timelines and budgets while proactively managing scope changes and material assessments.
  • Review project reports to determine status and required actions, providing periodic status updates and end-of-contract cost analysis.
  • Facilitate project meetings and lead pre-job planning sessions to ensure team alignment with customer expectations and company standards.
  • Assemble and review project estimates, ensuring proper loading of numbers into the project cost system.
  • Document planning meeting results, develop project schedules, and resolve conflicts to ensure alignment with the master project schedule.
  • Prepare and submit monthly contract billings to manage cash flow and complete project closeout activities to obtain full funding.
  • Manage conflict resolution with customers, vendors, and trades while providing technical leadership and mentorship to other project managers.
  • Identify and develop policies and procedures for continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.
  • Perform regular job site visits and work inspections to check progress and resolve technical or contract issues.
  • Communicate all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely and transparent manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in successfully leading projects and programs within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proven ability to deliver large-scale projects on-schedule and within budget.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence change and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated drive for results and accountability for meeting business needs.
  • Decisiveness in resolving business problems, making informed decisions, and identifying strategic priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to visit and navigate active construction job sites and onsite offices.
  • Ability to perform field inspections, which may include climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and bending in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Must be aware of OSHA safety standards and able to work in environments with heights and loud noises.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $157,050 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
