THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring Charter School projects and other projects are completed on time and on budget. This individual is responsible for ensuring all members of staff and related vendors in the project are productive and will act as the liaison for the client.

  • Must be familiar with K-12 and charter school projects including OLSF guidelines for school construction.
  • Generate project schedules using computer software.
  • Proficiency in AIA Contract Software & writing AIA Subcontractor Agreements, AIA Contract Documents Management for life of the project.
  • Anticipate, recognize, and negotiate changes from documented scope of work.
  • Coordinate and monitor the execution of construction project activities – both new start and facility upgrades. Contract administration – subcontracts, material purchasing within company policy and procedures, and any and all reporting.
  • Implement project scope, schedules, and cost estimates (with assistance from company estimator) for renovations, guild outs, and for new ground up facilities.
  • Manage existing projects and assist Estimating Department when appropriate.

BACKGROUND PROFILE

  • 5 or more years’ project management experience for the construction of schools adhering to OSF guidelines for school construction.
  • Design Assist / Design Build Experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, budgeting, and scheduling practices.
  • Strong experience with RFIs and proposals
  • Previous experience in dealing with negotiated work
  • Effective and proven relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
