Project Overview

The candidate will manage several projects through solicitation, selection, contract negotiation, acquisition, implementation, migration, archival, and sunset of legacy applications.


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and manage agency-wide initiatives from initiation through completion.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously using traditional Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and task assignments.
  • Control project scope and schedule to ensure timely delivery and alignment with agency objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, project sponsors, vendors, and agency leadership.
  • Lead project status meetings, review meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Prepare project status reports and communicate progress, risks, issues, and decisions to stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Develop and maintain required project documentation throughout the complete project lifecycle.
  • Support the planning and documentation of new technology services and agency initiatives.
  • Promote project team compliance with established project management standards and industry best practices.
  • Identify project risks and potential problems proactively and implement effective mitigation and resolution strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, methodologies, documentation, and governance.
  • Work effectively with diverse professionals across all organizational levels.
  • Manage initiatives involving mortgage servicing and mortgage production technology solutions.
  • Support development and compliance-monitoring technology projects.
  • Manage contract-administration technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate agency business-continuity planning and related projects.
  • Lead facility and space-needs assessments to support workforce requirements, operational efficiency, and future organizational growth.


Requirements

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree with demonstrated project management experience leading large-scale projects of moderate complexity and risk.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification required, or currently in the process of obtaining one of these certifications.


Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management.
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects using hybrid Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic planning and roadmap development.
  • 3+ years of experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • 3+ years of experience managing project resources and cross-functional teams.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting organizational and project change management.
  • 3+ years of experience in project budget planning, tracking, and cost management.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of financial principles and budget management.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of mortgage principles, including mortgage production and servicing processes.
