Construction Engineering Greenville , SC Professional Direct Hire Jul 28, 2026

HTI is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in K–12 public construction. This role will lead the financial, administrative, and client-facing performance of school construction projects throughout the Spartanburg and Greenville, SC area. This position is Direct Hire. The salary range is $130,000 - $160,000 depending on experience, with bonus potential up to 15%.

What You Need:
  • Senior-level project management experience in K-12 public construction
  • Experience managing projects valued at $15M-$20M+, multiple concurrent projects, or a major project near $100M
  • Strong preconstruction, budgeting, GMP development, subcontracting, and cost-control experience
  • Experience with Construction Management delivery methods and public-sector stakeholders
  • Primavera P6 scheduling and Procore Financials experience
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience leading client meetings with school boards, districts, architects, and construction groups
  • Strong Upstate subcontractor relationships and a verifiable record of successful project delivery
  • Stable career progression with strong leadership, urgency, and financial ownership
What Your Role Will Look Like:

The Senior Project Manager will own assigned projects like a business, beginning with front-end planning and budgeting and continuing through construction and closeout. This person will manage project financials, schedules, client relationships, subcontractors, reporting, and project teams with limited oversight.

  • Lead K-12 projects from preconstruction, budgeting, and proposal development through closeout
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, projected final cost reports, contingencies, and profitability
  • Prepare and present GMP or lump-sum proposals in partnership with Preconstruction
  • Manage subcontractor scope reviews, bid leveling, negotiations, awards, contracts, and performance
  • Oversee approximately two projects in different phases or an equivalent portfolio
  • Partner with Superintendents and project teams to develop and maintain complete construction schedules
  • Lead meetings and presentations with school boards, districts, owners, architects, and other stakeholders
  • Manage change orders, procurement, risk, project reporting, contract compliance, and financial closeout
  • Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, interns, and co-ops
  • Build repeat business through responsive communication and strong project execution
  • Complete required training, maintain favorable project scorecard results, and perform additional duties as assigned
